Life time treat for the JOAC kids
Joseph has been a volunteer with us at Joy of a Child Uganda for the last 10 months. He has been working with us in the communication department. We have benefitted so much from his heart for the kids and serving. He has over the time bonded with the kids. However, Joseph will be leaving us in about two weeks` time. He is going to Australia to do a school of worship with Youth with a Mission in Perth. We are already missing him so much!
The Uganda board has suggested that the kids and the staff at JOAC see Joseph off at Entebbe Airport on 27th March. This will not only be a life time experience and treat for the JOAC kids, but it will also be an opportunity for them to have a study trip, where they will visit the Entebbe zoo (they have never been to the zoo and seen the animals they study about before). They will also go to Jinja to visit the source of River Nile, Bujagali falls, Mabira forest and visit the Owen falls dam. All these places they study about in school but have never been there before. Most of them have never gone beyond Mbarara. The trip we believe will widen their scope of exposure. Imagine the kids getting to know their country beyond their the community they have inhabited for years, knowing their capital city, Kampala they have only heard of from the media, visiting the Airport and places they have only read about and dreamed of. The JOAC Uganda has already contributed 150,000UGshs (62.5$$) towards this cause. We call upon you our dear friends, both within Uganda and those abroad to take part in our cause in order to give a life time treat to our kids. We humbly ask twenty five of you to grab this opportunity and be a blessing to the kids through making a contribution of 20$$ each towards this cause please. The kids will leave JOAC on 25th, have their trips on 26th and 27th before Joseph`s flight.
Please note that, this comes at a time where we as a ministry have been going through a lot of struggles that God is seeing us through, this will be a refreshing moment for the staff and the kids.
